Non-combat troops

So our president announces the mission in Iraq is over.  Last troops are in route to home.  Except for the 50,000 non-combat troops who will remain in place.

"Honey, what is a non-combat troop?"
"You are looking at it."

Sweet.  Aviation and avaition support are classified as "non-combat".  An email from the command confirms we are still slated to deploy next year.
